Starting on the 6 th of March, the group exhibition “4LDK”, organized purely by students, was held. On the day, guests, friends, relatives, judges, design and art students all gathered to a grand number of 200. Amongst the crowd were many Australians, reassuring us of their willingness to participate in Japanese based events, and proving that the event as a communicational bridge between Japan and Australia was indeed a success.

Beginning with video artist Yuuki Matsumoto's Documentary “the South meets the North”, the opening ceremony demonstrated the ‘distance' between Japan and Australia . After Yuuki, our proud supporters “Artoholic”, with their musical talent, held a live event with which the audience not only immersed themselves in art, but music as well. At the end of the opening ceremony, Maki Hoshino with her video piece “Naimononedari” proudly exhibited her work, expressing her realistic thoughts as an art student.

We were also proud to invite REN, Japanese calligrapher, and Ian, course director of UTS, as judges for the night's event. - They were, as professionals, available to respond critically to each participating artist and their artwork.

Throughout the duration of the exhibition, we had almost 300 visitors to the gallery, and the number of public votes reached more than 200. Hope every visiters enjoyed our gallery.
